So it’s out with the old and in with a new design. I fear I’ve probably spent longer on the design than I have on the content of the site over the past few weeks – a clear transgression of the “content is king” rule.
Most of what I’ve been doing on the site of late has been related to the video shot on our last two dive trips. Unfortunately, the old design didn’t really have any convenient space to showcase the video content on the site.
So, the new design has room for a featured video on the home page. The video clips, rather than playing rather forlornly by themselves on an apparently blank browser window are now hosted within articles of their own, which should reduce the need for double posting to the blog section (here) and the video gallery.
The fish featured on the page banner are taken from a photo of an attractive metal sculpture we picked up in Greenwich market a couple of months ago – perfect to inspire a web-site design.
