A creek runs through it

Beyond the final set of cascades below the Subway, another gem of Zion National Park is encountered. Known colloquially as the “Crack”, the water has – over who knows how many years or centuries – carved its way into the red rock to a depth of around a 10 inches, forming a highly photogenic slot that looks at its best with a dusting of fallen leaves.
